What is crowdsourced art? Who is the author of that? What are the codes and rules to produce it?. "Collaborative Networks" is an analytical research that explores the generation of virtual participatory art. From Yoko Ono to Reddit Atlas, this research explores the centralisation, agency and synergy values of collaborative practices in a virtual environment. Ten crowdsourced initiatives are selected and analysed in detail with diagrams that disentangle the morphology of the network behind the production of their visual creations.

Collaborative Networks project is part of the broader publication and exhibition leaded by the Experimental Publishing program of the Piet Zwart Institute: “The Network we (de)served”, published in Rotterdam in 2019 and developed in collaboration with Varia, Centre for Everyday Technology.
